Early Access Review
The most cozy survivors-like out there. It's relaxing and has many challenges/unlockables, even in it's current state. It's exactly what we were looking for in a multiplayer game for chill evenings.

We hope there's much more content to come. Especially more bosses, more challenges and more levels.

This game is relaxing and fun at the same time, especially in multiplayer. Picking up trash for cash while waiting for products to grow? Sold!

Very cool, but very short. I wish it had more chapters. And more ravens.

I played Diablo IV when it first released on Battle.net and through the first season.

The main campaign is amazing. The story is intense and well told, all of the characters fit, and the cutscenes are beautiful to look at. There are only a few annoying things about the main campaign like when some audio lines are triggered while you're running through or fighting enemies, which makes it hard to follow the story. And also there's A LOT of backtracking.

Gameplaywise it's a typical Diablo game, spam your base skills until you can spam your core skill. Kill mobs, loot stuff, compare the looted stuff to your equipped stuff, trash all of the stuff because it sucks, repeat for better stuff. If you're into that (and oh boy I am), this is for you.

What made me leave the game for a couple of seasons is the endgame, which was very boring and unsatisfying during the first season. Yeah, you had the small season story and some new dungeons but it got old very quickly. Helltides and whispers didn't reward you properly, so it made no sense to jump to the higher world tier.

Now, in season 6, on the brink of season 7, it's super fun, especially when you're playing with friends. They reworked the world tiers to fit the system of Diablo 3 and added some more tweaks from the old game, like tempering with items and more. Also there are more bosses to farm stuff from and it feels as if you're rewarded with more and better stuff.

But there's one huge negative aspect, especially if you come here from Diablo 3: You might find yourself switch from an arcade game to a complex looting sim. The skill tree and corresponding gear are not easy to understand for beginners, especially because the game does not tell you which gear has synergies with your skills. Or where to find the gear you need. Or whether dexterity is more important than damage. Or why there are so many different types of damage. If you don't have an external build guide, this game is very very hard to grasp. Not many things are explained in-game, which is kind of a missed opportunity. For my first run through the main campaign I just went with not knowing things, and on my second playthrough I used a build guide to fit my playing style and it was much more fun to play.

While the base game is worth every penny in my opinion, the DLC is really very disappointing. The few hours of storytelling get worse with every quest and most of the characters aren't even unlikeable, they're just meh. What's worse is that the story builds up to end in an epic finale, which just doesn't come. Instead you get a cliffhanger and I'm afraid Blizzard want to release another cash grab expansion for 40€. And I bet they'll find a way to not conclude the story with that either.

Other than that, it's the same game as the base game (which is great), with a new map (also great) and a new class (very great). It's just not worth 40€.

Addictive and fun, especially in race mode with friends

This game feels like work that does not feel like work at all. Most relaxing experience I've ever had in a game. Except when there's one undiscovered part left and I already dismantled the whole engine...

It lacks a bunch of quality of life features, but I have high hopes for the sequel to include them.

Even more of a bugfest than previous FIFA games. Lots of visual glitches, clunky controls and nothing in career mode makes sense. EA as always just rests on the fact that there is no serious alternative and people still buy this crap for opening booster packs

It's the same game I enjoyed a while back. Still one of the most fun TD games out there. Plus the zen garden... Memories...

It could use a graphics overhaul or at least full hd wide screen compatibility though.
