I have played Dead Space on PS3 before and it is one hell of an atmospheric horror game. The jump scares and even the not-jump-scares almost made me change my pants regularly. The story is spine-crawling and the end left me breathless.

One negative aspect though: there's a scene where you have to aim properly and are under pressure by a time limit and I almost broke my PS3 controller because I found it so hard. Other than that I loved every bit of this game. 5/7 perfect score.

I did it all for the Geo!

What I like most about Hollow Knight is that it was developed with so much heart. The graphics, the music, the voices, the hidden passages, the tiny little details in all those things. You can feel the love that was put into it with every step you make the little knight take.

Well, and then there's the boss fights. And f- me, some of them are super hard. I have first played HK on Nintendo Switch and almost couldn't put the Switch away. Because even if the boss fights and especially some travels to them are long and hard, this game did never let me go after I first started it. I just had to beat that one boss this time. Most of the fights are about timing and patience. The more you try, the clearer you see how you can strike the foe. The fighting is easy to learn but hard to master. You start with about no skills and have to work hard to acquire more and more skills while exploring.

Right now I am 20 hours deep in my second playthrough and I still discover new paths, caches, enemies and bosses. I can definitely recommend this to anyone who likes exploring, collecting, farming, upgrading and fighting. I also highly recommend you to be resistent to frustration, because after dying you have to face a shadow of yourself to regain your Geo, which are this game's currency. If you die before defeating said shadow, you lose all of your Geo. And at some points they're hard to farm.

Update: I'm over 40 hours in the same playthrough now and I'm still not done. There are still so many things to discover, especially if you want to learn more about the lore. Some very hard platforming parts and bosses cost me a lot of time, but I guess I will spend a few more hours to complete the bestiary and some open side quests before heading to the final boss. This game is worth every cent.

You should buy Hollow Knight and you should also buy the not yet released follow-up Silksong, when it's finally out. Support the developers in any way you can, they deserve it.

I basically spent half of my playtime pumping ♥♥♥♥ into my truck.

Update 2020: I'm torn. I have changed this review a few times and I'm now back to recommending this game again. It's like a person you really loved despite all of their flaws - and by god, there are so many flaws - but you broke up and haven't talked to each other in years and then meet again and want to get back together so badly but you know you can't but give it a shot anyway.

The positive: It's a trashy, funny game with lots of possibilities and lots of potential to waste your time. For example you can experience mind-blowing overtake crashes, fall asleep drunk on the street in front of a bus, witness suicidal elks, burn down your house, die because you're not buckled in, survive because you are buckled in, pee on others in a boat while driving a boat and lots more. Also you can build a car.

The negative: Why in all that is holy did the devs take the blue van away from new games? Now it has become horribly tedious to go shopping. The moped is a wildcard and the tractor is a vehicle straight from hell to punish the impatient. Also there are still lots of collision bugs when loading a new game or even when placing beer cases on top of a car.

It's okay.

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate dragons

Ich habe Fallout 3 bereits auf der PS3 durchgespielt und es hat mich von Anfang bis Ende gefesselt. Die Atmosphäre, die Quests, das Skill-System und die Story sind einfach nur geil. In meinen Augen passt bei diesem Spiel alles. Eine gute Mischung aus Shooter und Rollenspiel. Wer dieses Spiel noch nie gespielt hat, sollte es unbedingt spielen. Ich kriege es an meinem Laptop leider nicht ans laufen, deswegen habe ich noch keine Spielzeit aber an der PS3 habe ich schon mindestens 60 Stunden in das Spiel investiert. Kaufen!
