Hope you all had a great weekend! Here in Poland we’ve just wrapped up Majówka (our long May weekend) which, naturally, involved a lot of grilled food and family time. But we’re back, recharged, and ready for a packed week ahead. We’ll need that energy, because on Wednesday…

The heading says it all. Is this the perfect moment to bring a friend into the fight?

We think so. Especially because…

The next update is just around the corner, and it’s our biggest one to date. We won’t spoil everything today, but here’s a look at what we’ve been working on over the past few weeks.

The internal theme of this update was simple: community. We focused hard on your most-requested features - after all, our goal is to make the game as fun as possible to you!

• What was the number one request? Short mode.

We get it, not everyone has time or energy for a full 20-minute run, so we’re adding a faster option: 10-minute sessions, available in every realm.

• The second most common request was that the game was too easy.
  
• The third? That the game was too hard.

To make sure no one’s left behind, you will be able to lower or increase your difficulty level as you see fit. What was previously the default setting is now labeled “Normal”. You can start on Easy right away. Hard unlocks after your first clear on Normal.

We’ve also increased Favour levels to 10. That gives you more tools to take on tougher challenges, and more room to grow if you’ve already maxed out your previous build. They will be unlocked with a new currency - Divine Crystals - which you can obtain fighting on Hard Mode.

Most people know the myth of Arachne. But did you know she had a brother?

At the end of March, we asked you on our Discord who would you prefer to see first in the game. Community vote was clear - and that’s how Phalanx, the Venomous Spider came to life.

Cursed and twisted by Athena for defying the gods, reborn with eight limbs and venomous fangs, Phalanx is a fast, lethal predator that weaves poison into every encounter.

We wanted Phalanx to feel like a true predator - swift, silent, and deadly. That’s why he joins the Survivor roster with increased power range, critical chance, and movement speed, striking enemies from afar with volleys of poisonous thorns.

And that’s...

Not quite everything.

We haven’t even mentioned the biggest thing coming in 0.6.

Alectryon’s been busy in the fields, making sure everyone gets an egg.
We can’t promise they’ll hatch, but they might just explode.

So from all of us at Dark Point Games: Happy Easter!

🐣 Whether you’re celebrating or not, spending time with family or tearing through hordes of enemies, we hope this weekend brings you joy.

And with that said… it’s wild to think how far Achilles: Survivor has come. Let’s take a look at what’s changed - and maybe what’s still to come. 👁️

What happens to Achilles after his legend is told?

Launching Achilles: Survivor was our take on the answer. He’s a hero - staying still never suited him.

What started as a small experiment quickly became something much more. We took a genre we love, added our favorite characters, and tried to build the kind of game we’d all enjoy playing.

When the first demo launched, we had one realm, two bosses, three Survivors, eleven powers… and a dream. Fast forward 6 months, and more than 200 fixes and quality-of-life updates later:

• We’ve just welcomed our ninth Survivor
  
• Added multiple new activities, powers, structures, and favours
  
• Cured myrmidons our of procrastination, so they actually fight the enemies
  
• Expanded to nine languages
  
• Conducted training sessions with Survivors to make them more fun to play
  
• Unleashed new enemies and bosses upon the world (sorry about that)
  
• And we’ve learned a ton from your feedback

And that’s not even counting all the background reworks and performance improvements happening along the way. Today, Achilles: Survivor has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of - and that’s entirely thanks to you.

Violent and swift, it strikes harder than anything we’ve seen before.
