I've had great success with the steam link iOS apps on an iphone/ipad(even running above 60hz at native res on the ipad). I've had not so great results on the macos clients(x86), both the steam app itself and the steam link app, neither of which seem to support HEVC. Using Parsec I get good results again as it will make use of HEVC hardware decoding.

This seems like a software limitation, are there any plans to add support for the newer codec in the macos client(s)? The Parsec guys have had reports of excellent HEVC decoding latency on the recently announced apple silicon macbooks, even while they're still running under rosetta.
