Has your computer maybe changed networks by any chance? Maybe its ethernet cable was unplugged? Dare I say, have you tried restarting both your computer and the headset?
I haven't personally experienced this, so I can't offer anything besides some troubleshooting ideas off the top of my head, but if anything I've said helps, let me know!
It seems that the steam link app in general is just currently very buggy in its newborn condition, so if nothing else you can wait for a future update. (This is me being cynical because I also have an issue that I've been waiting on to get patched, even after trying the beta channel)
Please follow the troubleshooting steps found here: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0E2C-406B-9135-38A4 under "If you cannot connect make sure:"
If your problem persists, please try to "ping" your headset from your PC by getting the IP address of your headset after connecting to the network under the Meta wifi settings menu under your network and then saying `ping [that address]` and see if the pings go through or time out.
From what I know, nothing has updated and I can't switch networks since I only have the one which is 6G. Yes, I have restarted both the computer and headset. I even factory reset the headset just in case, but it didn't work (didn't lose anything cause everything on PC). All of my specs are better than what is at least required. I'm using the Quest 3 and my PC is connected wireless to my router. However it has worked perfectly fine up until late at night Thursday where it randomly stopped working (reminder it was working perfectly earlier that day). It is unable to pick up my PC, however, one thing I have noticed is that when I tried to use the Quest Link through Air Link (because my cable can't Link) it is able to see my PC. Though the Air Link succeeded at the first try and I was able to connect to my PC, I turned it off to test Steam Link. When it didn't work, I tried running Air Link again and haven't been able to connect since then. It can see my PC, but only when Quest Link/Air Link is turned on, but I cannot connect to it using either Quest Link/Steam Link.
Little update: I can cast from my Quest 3 to my phone using the app. Don't know if that helps.
BUT I've checked the router settings and notice that the setting that was causing me the headache with oculus link back in the day had been turned on again, aka MESH WIFI, I remember it removing all problems back then and now the moment I turned it off the steam link allowed me to connect instantly after reconnecting to the wifi
I have no clue why would this option be turned on when I dont have any other networking devices other than router on my network and I have no idea why it turned on it self again
tldr: try turning off Mesh wifi (for me its under Local Network/WLAN/Mesh Wifi)
hope this helps at least in some cases
Bro I have literally the same issue after upgrading my router with WiFi 6 version. But when I look router settings, I dont have WiFi Mesh option in anywhere... Any advice please? I am %100 percent sure that it couses from new wifi's settings but cant figure out.
The restarting of a router works but not mesh wifi.
But from now 4 months of my connection working it seems as (for me) the thing was that 5ghz band had its channel setting set to automatic and after changing it (to 48 in my case which was the cleanest channel) its been working ever since.
TLDR: Mesh wifi doesnt work well in a long run, check if your wifi (either 2.4 or 5 ghz depending on which one are you using) has its channel set to auto if it does change it to whatever Wifi Analizer tells you is the least taken channel
You just need to go to Your internet connection and change it to privat from public and it will work after resteing PC and headset

Basically you're going to want to uninstall SteamVR on steam if you already have it.
What you're going to want to do is install SteamVR on your oculus/vr headset of your choice.
You're then going to want to restart BOTH the VR headset AND your computer.
Once this is done, open steam but DO NOT install steamvr yet on your PC, only have it intalled on your VR headset.
Next you're going to want to open it not in the VR mode but in the gamepad mode. You're going to be able to do this by opening steamvr on your VR headset and selecting the mode next to the one you're having issues with. This'll launch it out of VR mode and only share your steam view.
You're going to want to next close steam vr in the top right in your VR headset and then re open it, then it should be allowing you to connect to your PC.
From there it'll prompt you to look at your PC and to follow the steps shown on your screen to INSTALL steam vr on your computer.
Install steam VR and then open steam VR from your headset.
Again, this is just what worked me, it might not work for you.
NordVPN was somehow causing it.
the issue disappeared once I've uninstalled NordVPN. it also fixed one other issue - I couldn't open my router admin page on this pc, while it worked on smartphone and on another laptop - uninstalling NordVPN fixed that as well.
I wasn't using NordVPN, it was not active, it wasn't open.
it's really strange, but NordVPN just being installed was breaking something in networking, specifically the access to other devices in WLAN.
I have 3 other VPNs installed, none of them cause any issues like that.
