Someone can get you the apk and you can install it, and maybe it will run without caring about HMD. I still think you'd run into problems with the vr link driver and resolution values and all that, at least out of the box.

Still, if there's no entitlement check to deal with on the apk/meta side, I would put money on on it being decently possible.
