There wasn't any actual max deck size limit back then. 60 was an arbitrary number since there has to be a limit in a GBA video game.
Yes there was a Max Deck-Size for WWE (Worldwide Edition) and it was 80 cards.
I also don't remember when the stunt with the HUGE deck (I think over 1000 card?) forced a max deck size to be put in place, but if it was before Expert 6 and Worldwide you'd have your answer instead of it following suit with the Pokemon TCG.
If a player DID use a 900 TRILLION card deck size...that would be THE PLAYER'S PROBLEM...that player's Spell & Trap card zone would quickly fill up ALL SPACES with Continuous Spell/Trap cards (or Equip Spell/Trap cards). So yes you are correct that there SHOULD be a Max limit...and I'm telling you now that I have used MATHEMATICS to determine that 100 cards would be the PERFECT Maximum limit given the playing Duel-Field size of five Spell/Trap SPACES. If the FIELD size was longer with more spaces then the max size could increase.
WWE Stairway to the Destined Duel, Main Deck maximum limit was 80 cards and it never changed in that game (Until now), the 60 max limit rule started maybe 2 Years after in the following games (To my ABSOLUTE F HORROR AND DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!)
I checked it myself. I thought it was a weird claim, but I tested it to be sure and can confirm that the limit has always been 60 in the main deck + 20 in the fusion deck.
I do actually have one (confirmed) or more Gameboy Advance cartridges of the WWE game and I have a Gameboy Advance too...unfortunately I can't find the recharging cable for it heh heh
"Checked it" how?......did you have an old GBA game cartridge?...because when I started playing WWE here on Steam I noticed in the In-Game options menu they have a NEW option there (That was not in my old cartridge game) called Deck Limit Size (something like that)...so OBVIOUSLY the People who made the ROM COPIES for the Emulator programs CHANGED the games a little bit and added their own MODS to the game (like this ridiculous REWIND cheating function mod)...so tell us...when you "Checked it"...did your game also have this Rewind cheating mod? (I bet it did)
Wrong...and I NOTICED you didn't answer my exact question...but now I don't care about your answer because you seem like the kind of Sore-Loser Person who would lie anyway. I ASKED YOU did you "Check it" on an old GBA game cartridge...or did you "Check it" on your ROM/EMULATOR program? (I BET one hundred million dollars you "Checked it" on your Emulator)
