gate wont open? *FIXED*
everything in the game works fine, for now... except that the gate in the beginning of the game wont open :(

To fix Manhunt on modern PCs go to PCGamingWiki, check this link: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Manhunt

Go there, download and install the 'Manhunt Fixer' patch and the game will work properly on modern PCs including fixing crashes, the gate not opening in the first level, AI pathing problems with enemies etc...

The Manhunt Fixer patch is all-in-one and the best way to patch this game.

ok so because i downloaded this ♥♥♥♥ and still didnt work what i did is= i alerted the guy that you are supposed to kill and as he run through the gate the gate stayed open for some seconds so i ran out and killed the guy on a fistfight

To combat piracy, the retail version contained two layers of digital rights management (DRM): the SecuROM system and several game-breaking mechanisms that are activated when SecuROM is missing. To ship the game to Steam without third party DRM, Rockstar Games re-released it with an existing crack by Razor 1911. As this was uncovered in 2010, the company quickly released a new version of the retail release with only SecuROM removed. The proprietary measures were not addressed, leading to a broken version being sold on Steam. Prior to 2023, the crack protection mechanisms, such as gates and doors not working properly blocking progress through the game, were interpreted as issues with compatibility on newer operating systems. However, it was discovered the Steam release had crack protection measures active despite being an official release due to the incomplete removal of the DRM.[95] Reviews on Steam then appeared complaining about the anti-piracy measures and originally being sold a cracked version of the game. This version remains unaltered as of September 2023.
