Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 or Fallout 4?
I prefer Fallout.

Better story, better gameplay. Worse graphics (ok, older game).

What is your opinion?

First of all, Fallout 4 is the undisputed pinnacle of realistic post-apocalyptic farming simulators. The game's main focus—the complex and emotionally resonant act of planting mutfruit—is clearly more engaging than Cyberpunk 2077's shallow narrative about existential dread and transhumanism. I mean, who cares about the meaning of consciousness when you can spend 17 hours trying to get a cow to walk into a pen?

Graphically, Fallout 4's revolutionary potato-based rendering engine makes it superior in every conceivable way. The muted browns and greens aren’t "outdated," they're artistically minimalist. In contrast, Cyberpunk 2077’s use of color and light is just distracting—like, what are they trying to hide?

Let’s not forget the incredibly deep and realistic dialogue system in Fallout 4, where you get to choose between four incredibly diverse options: yes, sarcastic yes, no-but-actually-yes, and grunt. Compared to Cyberpunk’s branching dialogue trees and nuanced conversations, Fallout 4’s system saves you valuable time you could otherwise waste on "character development."

As for bugs and glitches, Fallout 4 wins hands down. Where Cyberpunk 2077 had a few launch issues, Fallout 4 perfected the glitch as an art form. Who doesn’t want their character to spontaneously launch into the sky when entering Power Armor? That’s called immersive vertical gameplay.

Finally, Fallout 4’s storyline is undeniably superior because it involves finding your kidnapped baby and then forgetting about him entirely to build a five-story nightclub on top of a ruined gas station. Cyberpunk 2077 tries to distract you with complex characters like Johnny Silverhand, but does he let you spend 40 hours rearranging furniture in Sanctuary Hills? I don’t think so.

In conclusion, Fallout 4 is better because Todd Howard said it just works. Case closed.

Fallout 4 but only because of it's hefty mod community. Cyberpunk's mod culture is good, but nothing like Bethesda's.

Cyberpunk is a better game.
I absolutely loved Fallout 4, but not enough to play it again after I was done with my first playthrough. I think I spent about 300 hours on it.

Cyberpunk is definitely more my cup of tea and my hours on it reflects that heavily. lol
Hard to compare those two. I like CP77, but I still love FO4 because the game is so much more complex. Much bigger variety of enemies, base building and base protecting. No need to specialize because there is no level cap. Unlimited ammo capacity. Selective looting and searching for specific ingredients. Production of food, drinks, drugs, weapons, armor, clothing, ammo, furniture, buildings, structures, turrets, traps, mines, grenades... entire production lines.
The game is unmatched!
CP 2077's story is infinitely better than FO4. I was shocked at how watered-down the dialogue and role-play elements were in Fallout 4, especially compared to FO:NV.

On the other hand, FO4 has better exploration, and a lot larger modding community.

To me, it's all about what you are after: CP 2077 has a better story to it, and I'd argue has a bit more interesting combat, while FO4 has better exploration and modding.

Fallout New Vegas is the gold standard in Fallout series and CP2077 any day over F4.
ive tried and tried and tried again and again to be interested in the witcher and cyberpunk. neither of them hook me. on the flip side, bethesda titles hook the crap out of me. its janky and riddled with bugs, but the freedom those titles give you keeps me coming back. the story of cyberpunk and witcher is much better, but thats because they need to put a few leashes on you to make it that way. bethesda stories are usually weaker, especially main ones, with side quests leading the stories. but in doing so, they enable the player to far more freedom. so basically.. both open world games, one does story better, the other does freedom
Cyberpunk 2077, for sure. So much immersive than FO4 and it makes you feel like you're really there. So many details. F4 feels so empty, i´d rather play New Vegas.
Why not both? It's not like they're clones of each other. Both have their own highs and lows and are two different experiences.
Neither are in my top 10 RPG, but for a top 20, CP77 should be in it, not FO4.

In shooter RPG context for me it would be:
1. Mass Effect Legendary and from far.
2. Cyberpunk 2077 quite behind
3. Starfield close.
4. Fallout 4 relatively far.

Shooting: MEL, SF, CP77, FO4 (sorry but I don't like the vats system)
Exploration: FO4, CP77, SF, MEL
Stealth: More or less on par but MEL not really having it.
Character Building: SF, FO4/CP77, MEL
Equipment and Crafting: SF/CP77, FO4, MEL
Tourism: MEL, SF, CP77, FO4
Writing: MEL/CP77, SF, FO4
Better story? Fallout 4? Really?
I'm not even comparing it Cyberpunk, Fallout 4's story just sucks.
Love both, but if I had to choose it would be Fallout 4.

If Cyberpunk had a 3rd person option I would have chose it.

Off topic and a hot take, but one thing I do like about both game is having a voiced protagonist.Cyberpunk is on a different level, but Fallout 4's wasn't bad either. Going back to older games with a mute protagonist just feels so stale. Starfield confirmed it for me. It feels like I am playing as a walking mannequin.

Equipment and Crafting: SF/CP77, FO4, MEL
Sure. Crafting in CP77 is better than in FO4. Makes me wonder whether you have a copy of FO4 at all.
The voice of the female V is fantastic, but the dialogue options are slim, they are not in any way affected by the way you play the game and they are mainly of no consequence either. So in one word, it sounds better but it does not add any value otherwise. What V says has barely and meaning at all. Hell, you cannot even igore bloody Silvershit or at least make that thing hate you. Travelling with Mr. Codsworth is more entertaining than having that dumbo in your head.
